I bought this boat for my one year old with his birthday money. There are two pieces that I put away for when he is older but overall I believe the set is safe for him to play with. The boat doesn’t float long and sinks to the bottom of the tub so I would not recommend taking this boat set to a natural body of water because it would be hard to find when it sinks. The dolphins also do not float long because they are made with a hollow bottom and once tipped there is no longer an air pocket to hold them up. I didn’t find this to be a problem due to the fact that dolphins swim below the surface most of the time. However, if you want a set for a lake or ocean this may no be the set for you. My child doesn’t seem to mind and loves his boat set in and out of the water. I hope they make animal add on sets for more bath tub fun.

Fun Boat!

Does not float for long
My daughter loves the toy and the characters that come with it, but I bought it to play with in her small pool and it is not well designed when it comes to floating. The boat floats, but any bit of water intake or improper weight distribution and it sinks, as do the accessories. I like that it is a green toy, and that my daughter loves it, but I wish it would stay afloat.
Warning: Sinking Boat
We use this as a bath toy and my toddlers like it okay, but can't interact with the boat much b/c it fills with water very quickly and sinks to the bottom of the tub. It's too bad the boat's brown deck and blue bottom weren't made to fit together tightly. Like all Sprig toys, the set is very handsome and durable.
bathtub to sand
Both 2 year old boys loved their boat. Fish to count, a little fisherman to snap on and boats to float in the tub. Also my very "green" daughter is delighted with the composition...no ordinary plastic. They're looking forward to beach visits with this toy as well. We just love Sprig toys. Decent value too.
Entertaining for all ages
My five-year-old had the scuba guy and LOVED it so I bought him the Explorer Boat with some trepidation as he's getting to an age where things like video games are starting to peak interest. He loves the Explorer Boat though and plays with it often. The simplicity of these products make them amazingly creative for kids. He's now six and also has the hang glider. And named the scuba diver after himself because he says "he looks like me" (they have no faces -- added creativity).

I don’t write a lot of reviews, but with this puppet, I feel moved to do so. It is my 4 year old daughter’s favorite toy. She has named the puppet, “Asha” and she spends at least an hour of every day with this puppet on her arm. (We have had the puppet for almost a year.) My daughter has created an elaborate story about what Asha likes to eat, how she likes to play, and so on…..It is a beloved toy. I know that my “baby” won’t always be 4. This puppet will be a tender reminder of the games she played.

Wonderful for my magic show
This toy is wonderful. Because her colthes come off I dress in many different styles. Also the removable stick for the hand is wonderful depending on what I want her to do. My little brother even likes her. I have a puppet that was atlest 40 bucks but she works just as well. Great toy for all ages.
A ballerina for my ballerina
This was a present for my 4 yr old niece who is a ballerina. She absolutely loved it. She couldn't have been happier. She's been playing with it for a week now, and it's still n one piece. My niece has thanked me repeatedly for it.

Tiny Dancer
Another wonderful puppet from Melissa and Doug! She is so sweet. I added some earrings and a hair bow for decoration. She is fun and easy to control. Her legs are a plus so you can make her dance.
Ballerina is limping..
Puppets are awesome, I have twelve of them! Arrived on time, packaging could have been better. I run a children's theatre and order these puppets regularly, usually from a different supplier, and they are always packaged in strong boxes with chips or air bags. This was a thin box with no insulation. The box and puppet were crushed, but I needed it right away so I made the best of it.

My 2 year old got this last Christmas and he still plays with it regularly. It is so cute, we love the Plan Toys wooden stuff. I don’t like him to put all that ‘made in china’ fake plastic food in his mouth, but this stuff is fun because he can pretend to eat it and I don’t worry if I see him with the bacon in his mouth or anything (he doesn’t chew this stuff, but he does put it in his mouth from time to time). You get so much stuff for the price with this set, it is totally worth it. I also like that it is a proper little English breakfast, with sausage, cheese, toast, eggs and a roll. All of the food items and the tray can be used for any pretend kitchen play, so there is no end to how kids can play with the pieces.

We love this toy!

Excellent, durable quality, and lots of fun!
I love the Plan Toys line of pretend play food products because they are eco-friendly, made of wood, and non-toxic. Excellent quality, well-made with smooth surfaces, and don't feel heavy. I bought this set to go along with Plan Toys' meat set, and fruit & veges set. Just the right size for little hands. My 2 year old son LOVES them! He no mouths things but because of the choking hazard I make sure he's not left unattended when he plays with this.
Very nice play set -- safe too!
This is a really nice little play set. Food is nicely sized for little hands, edges are smooth, paints are neatly applied, and no chemical smell. Pretty design than M&D and much, much better and more attractice design. The M&D bread set looks so cheap next to this set. My toddler loves the boiled egg and S&P shakers. We also have the cutting vegetable set and having two trays is very handy!
Great Set
I bought this for my kid's (ages 2-4) play kitchen and they really have had fun with it. I was a little disappointed with the size. Everything was a bit smaller than I had imagined it would be but the kids didn't seem to have a problem with that at all. In fact, I think it's the perfect size for their little hands.
Nice Breakfast Set
A good, safe, non-toxic food set for the kids to play with. Got this the same time as some Melissa & Doug food sets. The M&D toys smelled really bad coming out of the package, whereas the Plan Toys didn't smell at all. The food looks fairly real, and the kids enjoy playing with it. Pieces are a tad on the small size, but perfect for little hands. I would recommend this over the M&D sets.

diapers can possible be new born size
If the cost of the diapers seem high. My daughter says that she stocked up on newborn size at the dollar store
Get Real Diapers They're Cheaper and Durable
My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves to put diapers on her dolls and then take them off again. With these diapers the plastic tears and the sticky straps are useless after one try. I priced NB Real Diapers and found that it was a lot cheaper than these and they can be reused over and over again. I bought a small pack and we haven't even gone through 10 of them. Don't waste your money on these just buy real ones.
LEaky & Don't Fit
You're better off just getting regular preemie diapers, this are overpriced and messy.
If you don't mind the initial expense, and want to save in the long run, buy a couple cloth "all in one" style diapers - they have snaps or velcro like disposables and can be washed and reused.
Price vs toy
Although we needed this toy to play with the doll, I thought the price was very high. I could buy baby diapers and pet diapers for a lot less.

I’m not sure if my 2 year old or my husband likes this toy more… My husband was talking about getting several sets to play with in our shower. My son, at least, is content with the one. It can be configured in several ways, so anytime he starts to lose interest in it, we switch it around a bit. My son, my husband, and I have all played a fair bit with it, and had no problems with durability. I would certainly recommend this toy to others!

The Only Bath Toy Your Toddle Will Need
I wanted to simplify bath time but keep the fun. So I freecycled the clutter making toys and purchased this toy instead. Thinking that this toy would be fun, educational, and involve minimal maintenance. Our 2yr old loves this toy and I can shower with ease not having to put away a dozen items before and after each bath session.
Great bath toy
My 2 and 3 year old nephews had grown bored with their bath toys and had started turning their attention to pushing and annoying each other - now they have something new to focus on and bathtime has become fun again. Being able to pour water on something besides each other's heads is a bonus.

The packaging is not wonderful and, to be honest, looks a little cheap (the toy itself looks well made though) and it says that the toy is for ages 2+ but I think all children are amazed by waterfalls and whatnot.
I am giving this to a one year old for his birthday and I'm sure he'll be amazed and mesmerized by this :)
Great toy!
The suction cups on this toy are pretty strong and none of the pieces fall off the tub. You do need quite a bit of space to set up every single piece if you truly want the waterfall effect. However, we just set up a couple pieces at a time and let our son pour water over two at a time to see the water cascade. Overall, it's a very nicely designed toy.

I bought this for my one year old son to put in his crib. It is soft and he can cuddle up to it and it makes a pleasant bell/rattling sound. He snuggles up to it to sleep sometimes and plays with it in his crib as he is falling asleep. It also has a tiny fabric hook so you can attach it to stroller or hang it from something. I hang it on to the side of his crib so he can pull it off and play with it. It rolls well and it is good size. I wish I had gotten this when he was younger! It is a great ball for babies.

Great First Ball
The ball is soft enough that I don't worry about the baby hitting himself with it as the wails his hands around. The bell inside helps hold his attention on it, as does the colors.
loves it
My son loves this-he can pick it up, squeeze it, throw it, and mouth it. PLUS he loves the noise it makes, and it is machine washable.
Its a ball
Its a 5-6 inch ball that has a bell inside and crumply paper. It does nothing else. It amuses a infant baby but becomes more of a toy for the pet in the house.

Nice toy to teach baby to walk
I bought it when my baby was only a few months old. I needed something that she could kick and that way learn to make steps and walk. It turned out to be a great ball for her! She is 17 months now and still plays with it. I have washed it in laundry machine and then dried it without any deformation or problems. It is a great ball!

My son is 18 months old and we gave him these dinosaurs 3 weeks ago and he LOVES them. They are kind of stinky when you first take them out of the package, but after a quick wash and a few days to air out, they don’t stink any more. They are pretty durable (but he is only 18 months old, so we will see what the years bring). They are a good size for his age. They are easy for him to handle, no risk of choking and not so big that they are too scary! I am looking to purchase the farm animal set. These are great basic toys that don’t run on batteries, are somewhat realistic in their appearance and require his imagination. I see years of fun ahead.

My grandson is really into dinosaurs and he is only two, so the size and quality of these are perfect. He plays with them everyday and he loves them.
Very poorly made - NOT the usual Learning Resources quality!
As teachers we used to love Learning Resources items and even recommended the line to parents. However, these jumbo dinosaurs are now very poorly made by some foreign outfit. Obviously, Learning Resources got big and now outsources their manufacturing to the lowest bidder. NOT recommended!
Great dinosaur set!
My little girl loves this set. They are made from durable plastic, well manufactured, and beautifully painted. My daughter likes to recreate the scenes from the Disney dinosaur movies. I constantly hear from her about how they're all going to the "nesting grounds."

All of these Melissa & Doug floor puzzles are the best! They’re so nice and large, the kids are so excited to complete such a big puzzle all by themselves! The pieces are nice and thick, so they don’t warp or bend, the edges don’t fray, and the picture doesn’t peel off the top. The pieces fit together smoothly and are big for little hands to manipulate easily. The actual picture is very nice, bright colors, good detail. My 5 year old does this one and my 3 year old does his (fewer pieces) without help. And the amazing thing is they get out their puzzles and do them over and over, without seeming to get bored by the same image. I think it’s just challenging enough that having the same image isn’t as important as the accomplishment of putting it together again. Great sturdy box to put the puzzle away after they’re done.

a girly puzzle
this was a birthday gift for my daughter's 4th birthday. i bought it hoping that the ultra-girly picture would get her excited about puzzles (and problem solving, thought processing, etc). so far so good, we put it together tonight and she loved it. we extended the activity into "which window in the castle do you think belongs to the princess's room" and "what do you think the unicorn's name is?" we enjoyed counting the butterflies and discussing the other animals a bit. being a mom, i suppose i'm partial to girly stuff, but i thought the picture was very pretty. the quality is great, we love melissa & doug stuff at our house!!
my only complaint was that the puzzle box was damaged. i don't know how it could have happened, these puzzle boxes are quite strong, but something completely punctured the top of the box. the puzzle within was not damaged but i was disappointed to see it was poorly shipped.
This puzzle is beautiful!
This is a gorgeous puzzle! Very glossy and colorful. We love it! It's pretty durable, not wooden like the smaller puzzles, but a heavy cardboard. Highly recommend!

Great Puzzle - Hearty Pieces
This is a WONDERFUL puzzle. It is my 2.5 yr old daughter's first "real" puzzle (as opposed to the wood ones with little handles). The pieces are hearty and she can easily manipulate and put them together, I m surprised at how well she can do it AND stays focused. It's easy to lay out all of the pieces and say...."do you see a princess piece", "do you see a castle piece?" we love it and we love her face when the last piece goes in.
